About Us

Duclair is the president of Amour en Action, Inc. (AEA). He oversees the organization’s overall operation of AEA and plans which include annual mission trips to Haiti. He periodically interacts with the principal of the free school in Haiti on school operations. Regularly interacts with principal of free school in Haiti on school operations. Interacting with the students has left an indelible mark on Duclair that keeps him motivated to carry out the mission of AEA, even in difficult times. He envisions AEA continually enhancing its assistance to the deprived of Haiti. He hopes that the school will produce future leaders that will go on to contribute to the positive transformation of Haiti.

Manny loves being part of an organization that helps the children of Haiti, particularly those easily forgotten. He has been involved with Amour En Action for over two decades and works with the rest of the team to ensure the organization achieves its goals. Along with those duties, Emmanuel sits on the board of Beraca Baptist Church of Brooklyn, NY and is also one of the Pastors at Crossroads Christian Fellowship of Union, NJ, where he leads their Marriage and Family ministry. Emmanuel and his wife Perette have been married for 27 years and have 5 children. They reside in Union, New Jersey.

Glenda has been vital to the forward momentum of AEA. Coordinates medical and school supplies from overseas to Haiti. Facilitates training for school teachers and team training on healthcare. Coordinates all aspects of week-long mission trips to Haiti and other parts of the world. Prepares various aspects of the organization including maintaining communication via quarterly newsletters, designing print and visual presentations for the broad promotion of the organization. Assists with the distribution of medications, partnering with the medical team to provide quality care to the needy.

Dr. Athus organizes medications for mission trips, creates liaisons with local hospitals, educates local Haitian citizens about preventive health care. Provides long-term medications to assist patients with chronic diseases. Long term vision for Haiti is to someday build local clinics in Haiti, continue active medical education, increase awareness regarding complications of chronic diseases, assist local hospitals with their resources.
